Nov 24 2011 - Christmas items update [reverted]

This is a minor update that should not really be noticeable. I had to do some code cleanup which involved renaming a few classes which involves certain Christmas items being replaced with new, identical ones. There should not be any noticeable issues with this other than some non blessed items now being blessed, and the weight not displaying. (intentional).

There will be another conversion like this next update as well. Either way, this should not have any effect on anything.

If you notice anything odd, please let me know.

Due to an accidental deletation of lot of items, I had to revert this.

Ok, I did a little oops here. One of the items that had to be converted was the surprise stocking. Was not taking into account that it was a container and if there was any items in it, they are now gone.

I suspect most people got these and probably left the items in it or took them out and did not add valuables like artifacts, but if anyone had any valuables in there please PM me. I can revert the test shard to an older version of the scripts/database and I can remake the items in game. If it was just Christmas decoration stuff (original stuff that would have been in it) then I can assure you there will be a lot available in this event.

yeah, I had stuff in the stockings that were in my bank boxes.

I had a number of them used as containers and will have lost a lot of items as well.

I personally suggest a revert and some kind of compensation in this particular case. Too unpredictable to handle on a case by case basis.

I'm thinking the same, think I do it. I hate doing a revert as any progress is lost, but I think more is lost otherwise, so think it's the best bet.

This is completely a luck of the draw, but it looks like the backup job was running right before I prepared to do the update. So the revert should be going to maybe an hour before the update at most.

I also need to fix the backup so it puts the date in the DB file because it's a pain trying to figure out the date. But it looks like it was around midnight. Interestingly enough, I posted this patch update a bit past midnight, so really the revert may be rather small. I was actually debating on just doing it last night and I probably should have.

I will make up for it in the Christmas event, there is quite a lot of items that will be given away.

Oh and I hate having a slow upload... taking forever to upload the DB backup file.

The revert is now complete. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I will have to redo the conversions and this time make sure the stockings are taken into account so the items get moved to the new one.

I will post a new patch note when this has been done.

Yeah I figured there was more damage done by leaving it. I had reverted TC1 and started looking at random stockings and saw there was a ton of em on the shard, and some did have valuables in them.

Really I should have just done it last night when I realized what happened, but oh well, it's done. I hope no one got any new artifacts or anything after the update.
