Zalman CNPS7000A-Alcu Review
Posted by Red Squirrel on February 29th 2004

When you take the socalled Flower Heatsink (FHS) out of the package, you immediately notice that all 130 fins are very thin and therefor very bendable/breakable. So handle with care at all times! Of the 65 fins on each side, 19 are made out of copper while the others are made out of grey aluminum. This mix of 2 different materials, and therefor different colors, doesn't only look good, it also helps to reduce the manufacturing costs. After all, copper is cheaper than aluminum which makes this hybrid version about 10€ cheaper than the full copper version.
