Matrox had the right idea, wrong everything else

Performance-wise the Intel solution performs ridiculouslyfaster than MSAA, is pretty much scene-independent, and should produceresults near the 16x mark due to the precision possible withcalculating areas. Speculation about latency between render and gameloops aside the implementation looks quite sound and allows users withon-processor graphics to not need to waste precious cycles (especiallyon GPUs that you would see on-processor) with antialiasing and insteaduse it more on raising other settings including resolution itselfwhile still avoiding jaggies.
